Worked with Rod at Caterpillar for a long time, in fact he trained me as I started in supervision. Rod and I played on many a softball game thru the years...Had lost contact with him after he retired, but often thought of him and our friendship at Cat and playing ball.The best thing that i can say about Rod that I admired the most was he was a very honest and self-made man and you could always count on him to have your back......ANOTHER ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS GONE.........BUT NOT FOGOTTEN.
